The Hythe Community Food Bank is looking to fill christmas hampers for 30 families this year.
To help with that, they are holding a special "Kids Want Christmas" fundraiser this Friday night at the Hythe legion.
Board chair Joan Kyle explains what will be taking place that night.
"We have a little bit of entertainment. Three local bands that are going to come and sing and play for us. It's in conjunction with the Friday night legion supper in our community. And then we will have a silent auction for sure. Depending on how many items are donated we may have a live auction as well."
The Legion has also agreed to donate 2 dollars from every 10 dollar plate sold that night to the food bank.
Silent and live auction item donations are required.
They can be dropped off at the Hythe FCSS office or at the Legion on Friday night.
