Clinical trial proposals for the CCSVI treatment - known as liberation therapy - can be submitted to the federal government starting today.

The request for proposals is scheduled to go up on the Canadian Institute of Health and Research website.

Chronic Cerebrosinpal Venous Insufficiency is thought to be one of the triggers behind Multiple Sclerosis symptoms.

CCSVI Grande Prairie president Debbie Golden thinks groups like hers are part of the reason the government is moving ahead with the research.

"We're moving forwad, I mean we were a group of ten people that met in a room 14 months ago and started this rolling in Grande Prairie. Now look at us today."

Golden says she will be working with CCSVI Edmonton for the next national CCSVI conference, which is coming to Alberta in September.
