The man charged in connection with the death earlier this month of a Grande Prairie man appears in court today.

A 56-year old man was found dead at a Meadowview Trailer Court Home on the city's east side -- police made an arrest at the scene.

69-year old Nicolas Greco was charged a little over 2-weeks ago with murder.

Meanwhile, the first degree murder trial of Matthew Crichton begins this week in Grande Prairie provincial court.

Two weeks have been set aside for the proceedings, which begins today with jury selection.

The 28 year old Crichton was charged after the body of his father Alex was discovered on a rural property near Grovedale in early September of last year.
