Council will be asked to consider a long discussed Local Improvement Plan in the city's north end when they sit down for budget deliberations this fall.
The over one million dollar project would see a stretch of 124th avenue between 100th and 101st streets paved, along with other improvements.
Businesses in that area and the city have been discussing the project since 2005.
City councillor and Public Works chair Dan Wong says the process is the past was quite cumbersome.
If put into the budget, businesses along that road would be responsible for 65 percent of the costs, to be paid over 10 years.
