A donor and supporter appreciation gathering for everyone in the community who worked so hard to get Sunrise House back in the pink and ready for re-opening is set for this evening.
Executive Director Tanya Wald says it's been extremely gratifying and encouraging to see the support the shelter has in the community from residents, to businesses, to the levels of government that've committed funding.
The event is set for 5 to 7:30 tonight at the shelter on 109th Avenue.
The youth emergency shelter is expected to re-open sometime next week.
