Judges for the National Communities in Bloom competition were recently in Valhalla Centre to tour the community.

Valhalla Centre CIB president Dave Harder says the day included stops at the community centre, church, and a bus tour of the area.

He says the judges focus on a number of areas during their visit.

"they look at community involvement, they look at water conservation, environmental issues, and of course landscaping.  So we took them on different tours to different places."

Harder says the judges seemed to be impressed with what they saw, although the final results will not be known until October.
