Mounties across the Peace Region are asking drivers to pack some patience and drive safe as they head out this long holiday weekend.

High Prairie RCMP report one man has died in a crash on Highway 2 east of Kinuso.

Police and fire crews were called to the scene around 7 o'clock last night.

Investigators say a pickup hit a semi.

The road was closed in the area for about three hours. No names are being released.
